Universal Connectivity Earns SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance

Achieving SOC 2 Type 2 Complinace

We’re proud to announce that Universal Connectivity has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, an independent validation that our security measures, processes, and controls meet the rigorous standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). This milestone reflects our core values—pragmatic creativity, happiness, human touch, and thoroughness—which shape not only our daily interactions but also the systems we put in place to safeguard your business. We remain deeply committed to protecting your data and serving as a trusted partner, working alongside your team every step of the way.

What is SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance?

SOC 2 Type 2 compliance is an industry-recognized validation that an organization’s internal controls, policies, and procedures effectively protect customer data over time. Unlike a one-time assessment, it evaluates the consistent performance of these controls throughout a specific review period. In short, achieving SOC 2 Type 2 compliance demonstrates an organization’s long-term dedication to protecting sensitive information and keeping the trust of its customers.

How is it Evaluated?

An independent auditing firm reviews the organization’s systems, tests their security measures, and confirms that these measures are not only properly designed, but also functioning as intended.

Core Principles

SOC 2 compliance is based on five Trust Service Principles:

  • Privacy: Ensuring personal data is handled responsibly and following established standards.
  • Security: Verifying controls are in place to prevent unauthorized physical or virtual access.
  • Availability: Confirming that systems stay accessible as agreed upon with customers.
  • Confidentiality: Safeguarding information considered confidential.
  • Processing Integrity: Ensuring all operations are accurate, authorized, and timely.

Types of SOC 2 Reports

  • Type I: Verifies that the necessary controls exist and are properly designed at a single point in time.
  • Type II: Confirms that these controls work effectively over a defined period, proving ongoing adherence to security and privacy commitments.

Why This Matters to Our Clients:

  • Upholding Trust Through Stringent Security: The SOC 2 framework subjects our operations to intense scrutiny across five trust service principles—security, privacy, availability, confidentiality, and processing integrity. Meeting these criteria means we’ve proven our dedication to protecting your information every step of the way.
  • Strengthening Strategic Partnerships: We don’t view ourselves as just a vendor, but as an extension of your team. By maintaining such high standards, we help ensure that our partnership isn’t just productive—it’s founded on a shared confidence in the systems and safeguards that support your success.
  • Sustained Value and Continuous Improvement: SOC 2 Type 2 compliance is not a one-time milestone. It represents our ongoing efforts to refine our practices, stay ahead of emerging threats, and provide you with a reliable technological foundation that enables better decisions, smoother operations, and greater peace of mind.

“Achieving SOC 2 Type 2 compliance is about much more than checking a box—it’s about living our core values. We strive to serve as a trusted ally, empowering our customers, partners, and vendors with the assurance that their data is managed with the utmost care and consideration. This accomplishment underscores our dedication to being not just a provider, but a true strategic partner invested in your success.” James Smith, President of Universal Connectivity
